From our early days in Homestead to our expansion across South Florida, we’ve remained focused on delivering premium products, expert guidance, and dependable service — backed by deep industry knowledge and local experience.

Our Story: Built Through Resilience

Founded in 1989, Window Professionals began as a small supplier serving a niche group of custom home builders in Homestead, Florida. The company quickly built a reputation for providing high-quality window and door solutions tailored to the specific needs of South Florida construction.

Under the leadership of Jeff Karlsen, who began as sales manager, the company steadily grew — opening a second location in South Miami just three years later.

Then, everything changed.

In August of 1992, Hurricane Andrew devastated South Florida, flattening the company’s main facility and damaging or destroying the homes of every employee. The destruction revealed a harsh truth: failed windows and doors were a major factor in property loss and structural failure during the storm.

That moment became the company’s defining turning point.

With Jeff Karlsen and a group of shareholders taking full ownership, Window Professionals re-emerged with a mission — to help lead the future of hurricane protection by providing impact-rated fenestration systems that homeowners and builders could rely on.

From Local Supplier to Regional Leader

Fueled by the lessons of Andrew, the company pivoted toward the development and sale of code-compliant, impact-rated windows and doors. The market responded. Over the next two decades, Window Professionals expanded to serve a growing and more demanding customer base across Florida.

We opened new locations, established our corporate headquarters in Jupiter, and built a reputation for excellence in both new construction and replacement renovation projects.

Today, our team supports projects across Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, and surrounding counties — including export projects in the Caribbean and beyond. From coastal estates to multi-unit commercial builds, we’re trusted by contractors, architects, and discerning homeowners who understand the value of experience.
